Desert national Park
Near the town of Jaiselmer, lies the Desert national park having an area of 3162 km². Sand Dunes can be found in 20% area of the park. You can have an excellent example of an ecosystem in such a harsh climatic condition. Other then sand dunes, salt lakes can be found in this region.
Having such a harsh climate, the Desert national park still have a variety of birdlife. The region of desert national park can be termed as a heaven for migrating as well as residential birds who belong to the desert area.Sand Grouse can be seen near small lakes or ponds.Great Indian Bustard , an engendered species can be found in adequate quantity here. This bird migrates to local places according to seasons.November to January is the ideal time to have a look at the park and explore it.
The main activities takes place are birdwatching, Camping, Jeep safari and Bonfire
